What this site is
Measured Setup is a reference site about home office setups — desks, chairs, lighting, cable management, and the routines that go with working from home.
The focus is narrow on purpose. This isn't a general productivity blog or a design inspiration feed. It covers the parts of a desk setup that are hard to judge from a photo: measurements, specifications, and the trade-offs between one option and another.
How the research is done
Being straight about this matters, so here it is.
The comparisons on this site are built from manufacturer specifications, published dimensions, documentation, and the patterns that show up across owner reviews. Where a product has been used directly, the page says so. Where it hasn't, the page compares specs and explains how to judge them — and doesn't pretend otherwise.
That's a real limitation, and it shapes what you'll find here. You won't find claims about how a chair felt after six months. You will find the seat depth measurement that decides whether it will fit you at all, and an explanation of why that number matters more than the review score.
Specifications get checked against the manufacturer's own listing before publishing. Prices and availability change, so those are treated as a starting point rather than a promise.
Who writes it

I work a desk job, and most of my time outside work goes to a desk as well — games, music production, and building small apps. That adds up to the majority of my waking hours in a chair, and it caught up with me as lower back pain and stiff shoulders. That's what got me paying attention to the numbers — seat heights, screen distances, the measurements that decide whether a setup works — instead of how a desk photographs.
What this site doesn't do
- It doesn't rank products by who pays the most
- It doesn't publish reviews of products it hasn't examined without saying so
- It doesn't make health claims. Desk ergonomics is about comfort and fit, not medical outcomes. If something hurts, that's a question for a doctor, not a blog.
Corrections
If something here is wrong — a wrong measurement, an outdated spec, a product that's been discontinued — please say so. Corrections get made and the page gets dated.
