This policy explains what information Measured Setup (measuredsetup.com) collects, why, and what you can do about it.

What is collected

Information you give directly

If you email, you provide your email address and whatever you write in the message, including your name if you sign it. That's used to reply to you and nothing else.

There is no contact form, no comment section, and no newsletter on this site.

Information collected automatically

This site uses Umami for analytics. Umami is cookieless — it stores nothing in your browser and does not track you across websites. It records:

• The page you viewed, including the campaign tag in the address if you arrived from a link that carried one, such as a pin
• The site or search that sent you here
• Browser, operating system, and device type
• Your country

That data is anonymised and looked at in aggregate, to see which pages are useful and which links people actually follow. No attempt is made to identify you, and no profile of you is built.

Separately, Cloudflare, which hosts and serves the site, records standard server log information for every request, as any web server does:

• IP address
• Browser type and version
• The page requested, and the time of the request
• The page or search that sent you here

That information is handled by Cloudflare under its own privacy policy, linked below. It is not combined with anything else, and no attempt is made to identify you from it.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. The analytics are cookieless, and there are no advertising cookies and no tracking pixels. That's why this site doesn't ask you to dismiss a consent banner.

Cloudflare may set an essential security cookie if its systems need to verify that a request is not automated. That cookie exists to keep the site available and is described in Cloudflare's cookie policy.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so won't stop this site from working.

Each operates under its own privacy policy. This site doesn't control what they collect or how long they keep it.

Affiliate links

This site currently contains no affiliate links. If that changes, this policy and the pages themselves will say so before any such link is published.

What is not done with your data

• Your personal information is not sold
• Your email address is not shared with third parties or added to any list
• No attempt is made to identify individual visitors from server logs

How long data is kept

• Emails: kept while the conversation is active, then deleted
• Analytics data: retained by Umami according to its own schedule, described in its privacy policy
• Server logs: retained by Cloudflare according to its own retention schedule, which is described in its privacy policy. This site keeps no logs separately.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Ask what personal information is held about you
• Ask for it to be corrected or deleted
• Object to or restrict how it's processed
• Receive a copy in a portable format
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

If you're in the EU or UK (GDPR): these rights apply to you, and you can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you're a California resident (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of sale or sharing. This site does not sell or share personal information.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 16, and personal information isn't knowingly collected from them. If you believe a child has provided information here, please get in touch and it will be deleted.

International transfers

This site is operated from Japan. It is hosted by Cloudflare and uses Umami for analytics; both process data outside Japan, including in the United States and the European Union. Those transfers rely on the safeguards described in their privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
